LNMI Admission Notification for MBA/MCA

Admission to MCA MBA MHRM Courses :

Eligibility criteria
Three year bachelor's degree in Physical Science / Commerce / Mathematics / Statistics/ Computer Science from a recognised university
OR
Graduation (with a total of 15 years of education) an any discipline with mathematics as a compulsory subject at +2 level from a recognised university.
A person who has appeared at the examination for bachelor's degree and is waiting for the result, or is appearing at the bachelor's degree examination, may apply for admission; but his / her candidature will be cancelled if he / she fails to produce necessary documents proof of his / her having passed the bachelor's degree examination before the admission.
Number of Seats: Total No. of Seats in MCA is 30 out of which 03 seats are under Chairperson's quota. Of the remaining 27 seats, 50% seats are reserved for SC, ST and Backward Class candidates as per the rules and circular of the Govt. of Bihar.

IIT Patna PhD Admission 2009

IIT Patna is going to start PhD program from 2009 (July) session.

Ph.D. Admission – July 2009


Applications are invited for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programme, starting in July 2009 in the following Departments. The Areas of Research at IIT Patna are as follows:


Eligibility Criteria for Admission in to PhD Programme


Ph.D. in Engineering:

For admission to the PhD Programme in Engineering Departments, a candidate must satisfy one of the following criteria:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Medical Sciences/ Veterinary Sciences/ Pharmacy in a relevant area with a minimum Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) of 6.5 or 60% of marks.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 7.0.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Medical Sciences (from other than IITs) in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 7.5 or 70% of marks.


Ph.D. in Science:

For admission to the PhD Programme in Science departments, a candidate must satisfy one of the following criteria:

  • Master’s degree in Science in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% of marks.

  • Master’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Design in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% of marks.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Design from an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 7.0.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area in Engineering/ Technology/ Design (from other than IITs) in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 7.5 or 70% of marks.


Ph.D. in Humanities and Social Sciences:

For admission to the PhD Programme in the department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS), a candidate must satisfy one of the following criteria:

  • Master’s degree in Arts/ Commerce/ Science in a relevant area with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent.

  • Master’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Design in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% marks.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 7.0.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Design (from other than IITs) in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 7.5 or 70% of marks.


Relaxation for SC/ST Candidates:

Eligibility criteria will be relaxed by 5% marks or 0.5 CPI for SC/ ST applicants.


Reservations:

The reservation of seats in admissions for SC, ST, OBC categories and for Persons with Disability (PD) will be as per Government of India rules. OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates will have to enclose certificate and self-declaration statement as per formats as indicated at Annexures-I and II.


Financial Support:

The Institute assistantships will be available to eligible (Indian) students as per prevailing (MHRD, GOI) norms, as applicable from time to time. The present rates of assistantships are as below:

Note:# No assistantship will be available beyond 4th year for this category of students.


  • GATE score requirement is exempted for students with Bachelor’s degree from an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) with minimum CPI of 8.0.

  • Assistantships from external funding organizations will be available as per terms and conditions of the concerned funding organizations.

  • Students receiving assistantships from the Institute or fellowships from any other funding agencies are required to perform academic duties as per prevailing norms.

  • The continuation of the assistantship/fellowship is subject to satisfactory performance of the assigned duties and satisfactory progress of the student in the PhD Programme.

Application form can also be obtained from the Assistant Registrar, Indian Institute of Technology Patna, Patliputra Colony, Patna – 800 013, Bihar, on or before 08-04-2009 by ordinary post or in person. To receive application forms by ordinary post, send a request along with a self-addressed, Rs.5/- stamped envelope (24cm x 15cm size). Request for form must be sent in an envelope super-scribed with ‘Request for PhD Application form’.

Filled in application forms complete with copies of mark sheets/certificates and other testimonials and a Demand Draft for Rs.150/- for General/ OBC candidates and Rs.75/- for SC/ST/PD candidates drawn in any nationalized bank and payable at Patna in favour of IIT Patna should be sent to the Assistant Registrar, Indian Institute of Technology Patna, Patliputra Colony, Patna – 800 013, Bihar, to reach on or before 15 April 2009. The words “Application for PhD admission in the Department of _________” should be written on the top of the envelope for sending the completed form.


Candidates applying for more than one department should submit a separate application for each department.


Selection:

The Institute reserves the right to call a limited number of candidates for written test or/ and interview, based on performance in GATE/NET, grades/marks in the qualifying examination, etc.

Tata Dhan Academy PGDM admission test 09
